Our free public programs and networks are designed to support and strengthen the nonprofit and voluntary sector across Alberta. Across communities and sub‑sectors, we support organizations and groups of all sizes to build capacity, strengthen capability, and thrive in their work. Our Programs
The Volunteer Screening Program (VSP) provides support to nonprofit organizations through educational and financial resources to develop good practices in volunteer screening and engagement.
Through the National Volunteer Week (NVW) Enhancement funding we help support communities across Alberta in celebrating
volunteers and promote volunteerism in partnership with the Government of Alberta.
Our Networks
The Alberta Voluntary Centre Network (AVCN) is a collaborative space for Volunteer Centres, Family and Community Support Services (FCSS), and other community organizations that support volunteerism to connect, share, and learn together.
As a Network Steward of the Alberta Nonprofit Network (ABNN), we invite you to be part of shaping collective action on the issues impacting Alberta’s nonprofit sector.
