Rural Mental Health Network (RMHN) — Building Connections for Stronger Communities
Join us for an interactive session introducing the Rural Mental Health Network (RMHN), a province-wide initiative focused on strengthening mental health and well-being in rural Alberta through connection, collaboration, and community-led action.
RMHN is not a direct service provider. Instead, it works alongside nonprofits, community groups, and local leaders to amplify existing efforts, build partnerships, and make it easier for rural communities to access and support mental health in ways that fit their unique context.
This session is designed for nonprofit organizations, community leaders, and partners who are interested in:
- Strengthening community well-being
- Building meaningful partnerships across sectors
- Finding practical ways to integrate mental health into their existing work
Participants will learn about the different ways to engage with RMHN, including:
- Supporters who stay connected and help share and amplify initiatives
- Community Animators who lead or support local, grassroots activities
- Backbone organizations that act as fiscal agents and provide logistical and administrative support
The session will include an overview of the network, real examples of how communities are engaging, and dedicated time for discussion, questions, and shared learning.
Whether you are already involved in community well-being work or just starting to explore how mental health fits into your organization, this session will offer practical insights and opportunities to connect.
Format: 1-hour interactive webinar with discussion and Q&A
