Meeting our mission to nourish conditions for civic engagement and volunteerism by offering accessible and affordable clean air solutions.
Why Clean Air Share?
Volunteer Alberta works to nourish the conditions for civic engagement and volunteerism in the province. We believe that one of those conditions is that people feel safe to become involved in their communities in ways that are meaningful for them. We’re actively experimenting and testing out new ideas like Clean Air Share to see if they help accomplish that.
Inspired by the example set by groups like Clean Air Club, we believe that helping to address health inequities caused by poor air quality due to forest fires, pollution, and airborne illnesses is one of the best ways we can help protect the health and safety of everyone in our communities. It’s also a tangible way we can act in solidarity with the disability rights community.

How this works
Ready to rent? Great! Here is how to secure the units for your event or meeting.
- Email us at info@volunteeralberta.ab.ca or give us a call at (780) 482-3300 and let us know which air filter(s) you’d like to rent.
- We’ll send you an order form to confirm your selection.
- We’ll arrange a time for pick-up or drop-off for the air filter(s).
Please note that there is a fee for roundtrip delivery and pick-up of the units ($50 within Edmonton city limits and $70 within 10 KM of city limits). There is no charge for pick up from our downtown Edmonton office.
We believe that clean air is a right and it should be available to everyone. While we’ve done our best to keep our rental prices low, we recognize they might still create a financial barrier for some groups. If this is the case for you, please contact us in confidence at info@volunteeralberta.ab.ca and we’ll find a solution together.
We also encourage you to consider a DIY Air Filter. If you’re interested in creating a longer-term clean air solution for your organization but can’t afford to purchase an air filter like the ones through this rental program, you might wish to consider building your own!
The Clean Air Crew has a great “how to” guide for building your own affordable air filter, known as a Corsi-Rosenthal box.
